A little about Stacey.

I am so glad you stopped by! A little about my background, training, and style...

I earned my Bacherlor's of Science from Purdue University in Psychology, and my Master's in Social Work with Mental Health focus from Indiana University (both at the Indianapolis, IN campuses, IUPUI).

I have lived and worked in South Korea, and completed an internship in Dharamsala, India. I include this because I found living abroad to foster a strong foundation in seeing the world through other peoples' eyes... something that I use every time I meet with a client. We all have been raised in and are ourselves creating our own 'culture,' meaning we all (consciously or otherwise) are seeing the world in a way that, at least at one time in our lives, makes sense to us and helps us survive or thrive. But, when those perspectives, and the associated beliefs, thoughts, behaviors, etc. get challenged, or are not bringing balance or contentment anymore, it can be very uncomfortable and maybe even traumatizing. I pride myself on finding the Value in how your ways have been serving you first, and exploring the ways they may continue to serve you, before we begin exploring how you may want modify them to find your fullest expression.

I learned from Internal Family Systems (IFS) that each individual is multiplicity - meaning, we are made up of many, many, MANY parts. Giving each part respect is of utmost important. They each were born out of and played a major role in your story - before asking them to change, we need to make sense of them; hear them.

I have been trained in and draw from

the following clinical methods:

  • MAPS MDMA-assisted therapy/Transpersonal Therapy

  • Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE)

  • Gottman Method

  • Relational, Psychodynamic Approach to healing

  • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Certification

  • Yoga Teacher (YT) 200hr certification
